I am also quite concerned about this. Deep budget cuts have been suggested which could cause the elimination of programming that families depend on - especially summer programming which many working families need desperately when school is out.
These are dark days for the kiddos...we go back for another town meeting on our school union's (deeply cut) budget this month. Seems like kids (and the environment, and poor people) are the first to get dropped when budgets get tight (god forbid we give road construction the summer off...and where is all that economic stimulus money?)
