First Grade!
Wednesday was the first day of first grade and the Lone Star Baby's first day at her brand new school! She liked it - she said she had a great day. We went out to dinner to celebrate after we picked her up from after-school care. She was not very thrilled, after being used to summer days, at how little time she had to play at home afterward, but she gave school a 10 out of 10. My baby is growing up!

Thanks! The main school district, in which I teach and the LSG attends, doesn't start back until Monday - LSP's little district also - but this is a charter school with its own calendar. When do y'all start back?

Yes, very sweet indeed! This is the second time I've read about a blogger's offspring starting a new year of school in August. I'm wistful, because my daughter misses school and August drags on a little for her.
