I just ordered the two YA books! I have mixed feelings about Rinaldi. I like it that she's immersed in history, but don't like the historical inaccuracies (My Heart is on the Ground is the one that is most prevalent in my mind, but I reviewed Numbering All the Bones, and found less glaring inconsistencies). I don't want to ruin anyone's fun, and the nine-days reign of Lady Jane is a safer subject than the brainwashing of American Indians and the concentration camp of Andersonville. "Buyer beware," and all that, okay?:)

I've never felt moved to read much of her stuff but I'm kind of interested in Jane Grey.
There's a film you might enjoy, with a very young Helena Bonham-Carter, called "Lady Jane."
I've seen that. I liked it. Actually, our mutual friend and I watched it together and ever afterward had fits of shouting "I will NOT!"
