Lone Star Facts on Friday: We're Big

The Dallas/Ft. Worth airport is larger than Manhattan Island in New York City.

You grew up in Denton. Haven't you been there?

When I was a little girl, I left my doll on one of the trains that traverse the place by accident and about had a conniption. The airline we were flying promised to find her and I still remember standing on that plane, watching the door start to close until some guy came racing toward the plane holding Baby Ann aloft triumphantly.

Oh I've been there. DFW is *insane*. But it's not suppose to be bigger than an island!

It really is insane. Even Love Field is pretty insane-ish these days but I'll take it over DFW anytime.

Actually, while I flew a ton as a child of divorce back in the day, I haven't been on a plane at all since before the turn of the century, I think. No money!
